We all have hear about wild boar at one time or other. I always believe that they live in differ part of the world. But what I did not know they live here in the USA as well.
How did they get here to USA?In 1493,Christopher Columbus brought 8 hogs to the West Indies. Occasional escapes of wild boar from wildlife parks have occurred as early as the 1970s, but since the early 1990s significant populations have re-established themselves after escapes from farms; the number of which has increased as the demand for wild boar meat has grown.

In Detroit, a wild pig wandered through downtown, making its way to the home of a family in nearby Warren, Mich. In September, in a Redding, Calif.-area subdivision, an estimated 100 feral hogs tore out landscaping and turned lawns into muddy messes.
