4 Tips Regarding Your Hunting Clothes - Sports

Getting ready for the coming hunting season? Then there are many steps you have to take starting from scouting your deer food plot to cleaning your weapons. Your clothes should also feature in this list as camouflaging clothes are very vital for the success of a white tail deer hunting trip. To help you out, here are some pointers:

* Did you know that if you washed your hunting clothes with detergents designed to brighten color, they give away UV glow? This UV glow can easily be spotted by deer in the woods from far just as you can spot a car headlight in a dark road! That is because, being game animals, their eyesight is tuned to detect blue wavelengths and UV glow. To avoid this, don't wash your clothes with regular detergent and use a UV flashlight in the stand to see whether there are any item in that place that is giving UV glow.

* Ordinary detergents have fragrance which will linger in your hunting clothes if you wash them in it. This fragrance will alert the white tail bucks you are aiming of your presence. To make sure this doesn't happen, choose only those detergents for your hunting clothes that are fragrance free and can kill odor. Better still, choose those that can also kill UV glow from your clothes.

* Choosing the right camouflaging patterned hunting clothes is very important. When you try to camouflage yourself, you try to blend into the surrounding nature. So see the place you are going to hunt from to know the predominant color there. There is no point choosing a light colored cameo hunting cloth if you are planning to hunt from a shaded woody area; your cloth will stick out like a sore thumb in such a surrounding!

* You will need a pair of sunglasses if your stand is facing east. The rising sun can temporarily blind you if you are not wearing one. But leave those stylish green or blue rimmed mirrored lenses sunglasses in home while going for hunting. They will reflect light and advertise your presence. A pair of glasses with dark lenses and rims is best for hunting. Check it out with your UV flashlight to be double sure.
