Shape for Hunting Season - Outdoors - Hunting

Hunting fitness is often left off the preparations for the fall big game seasons. Hunting can be physically demanding. It doesn't mean that when you are equipped with high-powered gears, you can relax and wait for the big hunt. When establishing your hunting fitness plan, think about preparing your overall body strength, not just your legs. As we age we lose body strength as testosterone production slows down. You will be following game through many different types of terrain. Definitely, there are some hunting preparation which every hunter can do to make their next hunting experience exceptional.First thing that you should ask yourself- '"are u physically able? " Any hunter should be realistic talking about their body condition. Do you have any physical ailment that endangers your life when hunting? Some things that you need to think about when answering that kind of questions are if you walking in the woods during bad weather conditions, can you bear it? Will you be clim bing up a tree stand? Some do, to properly identify their target and make it as their hunting spot. And before you take yourself to the woods, make sure you are physically able to go. Training for and racing marathons causes me to lose muscle mass. Strength workouts help me keep it on, adding strength to endurance for hunting fitness. I admit to falling down at least once during most hunting seasons, but the more fit your body is, the easier it is to recover from or even avoid a slip with nothing worse than a chuckle and a scrape.

Every hunter have their own hunting list. There are certain items that they need to carry with them during their hunt. That is why, making a checklist to ensure that you are always ready is a smart thing to do beforehand. Your checklist should include water, food, dressing gloves, hunting knife, camera, batteries, emergency kits and a survival kit. Those are just few of the list that a hunter should bring. Checklist may depend on the hunting expedition you make take. Of course, don't forget your weapon. It's the most important in this game. Conditioning your gear several months before the big hunt is the best practice to do. Any hunter should make sure their Gun works at its best. Mine is a rifle with Trijicon Accupoint Scope, which I always use for many hunting seasons now. I have tested this many times and it always delivers fast accurate shots under any weather conditions. Atop the eyepiece is a pattern of fiber optic cable connec ted to the reticle itself. The cable collects light and carries it to the reticle. Two color choices are offered, red and amber. Incidentally if there is little or no ambient light, the reticle carries a tritium insert, which is always visible. Of course if there is no ambient light, you probably shouldn't be shooting anyway.I've used Trijicon Accupoint Scope, and seen them used by hunting companions, on a number of hunts in New Zealand and North Dakota. They have proven utterly reliable in conditions ranging from extreme cold and snow, to searing heat and blowing dust.

I would like to discuss a few more items that you certainly need during your hunt. Let's start with your first aid kit. It's available in any retail store and just purchase a small kit for yourself. Make sure the kit is in a hard , water-resistance case. Include there band-aids, tape, antiseptics, a pair of scissors, gauze, sterile dressing.

When talking about a survival kit, most hunter think about it as unnecessary item because most of the time, they are hunting on their own property or the they are hunting just near to their camp. However, you will never know what could happen anytime. What most of them forget is that it may be necessary to track game for distance.

A survival kit includes items like water, compass, whistle or any other audible signaling device, a flashlight, a small knife, matches that is in a water proof container, a signaling mirror can be very helpful too.

Finally, is the hunting pack like rain gears, emergency shelter and few aspirin. Weather conditions are very unpredictable. Remember, a small amount of advance preparation can never do harm to you keep your mind at ease and thus, increase your hunting performance.
