The ace alternatives to modern SLR cameras - Other

There are hundreds of different makes of point and shoot digital cameras for sale on the market that range from the very cheap, costing way under a hundred pounds, right through to the very expensive that can cost up to a thousand pounds. When it comes to digital point and shoot digital cameras you really do get what you cough up for and the more you spend the more desirable the digital camera and the more automatic features it will own.

Primitive point and shoot are fully automatic and all you can do is aim the camera at the subject of the photo and press the shutter, hence thename "point and shoot". Point and shoot cameras are great for basic photographs but if you want totake more artistic images you are going to require a digital camera that offers a bit more input over the exposure.

In order to take more innovative images you are going to need to have the ability to change lenses, have control over the aperture, have control over the shutter speed, have input over the white balance, have input over the ISO level and have input over aspect ratios. plenty of persons think the only cameras that offer these automatic features are modern SLR cameras, which are big, bulky, high-priced and only great for specialist use. However, this is not the case.

Fortunately, there are some alternatives that offer the equivalent useful features as modern SLR cameras. These allow you total control over the size of the aperture, the shutter speed, the ISO and the white balance. These digital cameras also allow you to select several optics for all manner of shooting scenarios, which allow you to be even more inspired. Arguably, the greatest thing about these digital cameras is that they are the identical size as a normal point and shoot camera and far scaled-down and lighter than a modern day SLR camera.

So, what are these miracle modern cameras that are the preferred alternate to digital SLR cameras? The answer to this is the compact system camera or "CSC", which is often referred to as micro 4/3 cameras. There are a selection of micro 4/3 cameras and the most fashionable ones are the Olympus EPL, Samsung NX200, the Sony NEX-5, the Nikon V1 and the Panasonic GF3. All of these digital cameras are interesting and are capable of producing some wonderful photos and you won't be disappointed using any of them.

The micro 4/3 digital camera is the most useful upgrade for point and shoot camera users who want to take their digital photography to the next stage and do not want to carry an enormous, and heavy digital SLR camera. Because of the relativelylarge sensors used in micro 4/3 cameras the image quality of these cameras is terrific and almost the same as that of entry level digital SLR cameras, like the Canon EOS1000 and the Nikon D3100.
