How To Legally Buy Guns and Ammunition Online - Society - Politics

BUYING GUNS ONLINE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Buying ammunition and firearms on line is inexpensive, easy to do and legal, if it is done correctly. All federal, state and local laws which govern Firearm and ammunition transfers must be obeyed exactly. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the laws of your state and locality.

All reputable online Gun and/or ammunition websites will explain in detail what the exact procedures are to legally purchase guns and ammo online. Some states and localities impose restrictions or outright bans on certain types of guns, ammunition and accessories. The website you are dealing with will inform you if a specific item is not permitted in your locality. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the laws of your state and locality.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT GUNS TO BUY

If you are going to have only one Gun, make it a semi-auto or pump action 12 gauge shotgun. As imposing and persuasive as a 12 gauge can be, by itself it is not a defensive arsenal. To be properly prepared to defend your home, family and survival gear you need a complete arsenal, including at least one each of the following:

A hunting rife, caliber .243 Winchester or larger, with a telescopic sight.

A semi-auto or pump action 12 or 20 gauge shotgun.

A handgun of substantial caliber, either revolver or pistol, for every adult.

A semi-auto defensive rifle of either the AR 10 or M1A type, caliber .308 Winchester (7.62mm NATO), with telescopic sight.

A semi-auto defensive carbine of the AR-15 type, caliber .223 Remington, (5.56mm NATO), with a red dot sight.

A small game rifle caliber .22LR with telescopic sight.

Plentiful and ample and lots of ammunition for practice, training and actual defense, for each weapon.

A crossbow, 150 to 180 lb draw and dozens of bolts (arrows). Several strong slingshots.

This is only a list of suggestions but it is a reliable guide to building a good survival preparedness arsenal.

FINDING A FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSEE While you are doing your homework deciding what guns to buy and where to buy them, you must also find a local Federal Firearms Licensee, (FFL), who will receive shipment of the guns, and legally transfer them to you.

You will find local FFLs at: FFLs do this for a "transfer fee" which will vary from one to another. They all perform exactly the same federally and locally regulated procedures, so choose the least expensive one, most conveniently located to you.Now that you have found an FFL, decide which guns you want to purchase, compare prices and shipping charges between websites, choose the least expensive total price for those guns and make your purchases. The seller is allowed to ship multiple guns to one FFL. There will however, be a separate transfer fee for each Gun transferred.

TRANSFERING THE GUNS TO YOUR POSSESSION

During checkout you will be asked to have your chosen FFL fax a copy of his license to the seller. The faxed license must contain the correct "Ship To" address, as this is the only address the seller is permitted to ship to.

When the guns arrive, go to your FFL to pick them up and do the required paperwork, which is exactly the same paperwork as if you had purchased the guns directly from them. Pay only the "transfer fee" previously quoted; there should be no additional charges of any sort.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE YOUR GUNS

Now, have every member of your family LEARN HOW TO USE YOUR GUNS SAFELY AND ACCURATELY!!!

The National Rifle Association is the single greatest resource for Gun safety training available! If you are not already a member, you should join the NRA for reasons ranging from protecting your Second Amendment rights, which are always under attack, to safety and tactical training. You must be confident that your guns will function properly when needed, and that your ammunition has the power to do the job. More important than having any Gun is knowing how to use it. It makes no difference what you have in your hands, if you miss the target.

BUYING AMMUNITION ONLINE

Buying ammunition online is simpler than buying firearms. Federal law requires that you must be at least 18 years old to purchase shotgun ammunition and 21 years or older to purchase handgun and rifle ammunition. Some states and localities impose restrictions or outright bans on certain types of ammunition. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the laws of your state and locality.

All Gun and/or ammunition websites will ask you to certify that you meet the age requirements, and to agree to other terms and conditions which will be specified by those sites. Your purchases will be shipped directly to your address by the method specified by the seller.

Not all ammunition is created equal, and quality does make a difference. Remember: it's the bullet, not the Gun which hits the target. Buy the best ammunition you can afford, and practice with it so you know what to expect when your target is shooting back.

AN ARMED CITIZEN WILL NEVER BE A VICTIM

You have purchased guns and ammunition to insure your family's safety and to secure your home and all the survival preparedness bulk food storage and SURVIVAL H2O Partner, SURVIVAL STOVE, first aid kits and other survival gear you have purchased and stockpiled.

Now that you and your family are armed and formidable no one will ever be able to simply take what you have and make you a victim.

YOU NEVER NEED A Gun UNTIL YOU NEED IT, THEN YOU BETTER BE DAMN SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT Gun AND THAT YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
