When a person or a family member decides on adopting a dog, there are so many considerations that they need to think. To have a dog in the house is not as easy as buying a toy, that when we just throw them away once we do not like them anymore. To have a dog is like having another member of the family that all of the members has their own responsibilities. First and foremost, we must pick a dog breed that is acceptable for everyone. Today, most Greyhounds are not only for hunting or racing but they are also considered pet for some households. Another dog breed is the Boxer which originated in Germany. Most boxers are aggressive that is why they are used for fighting and in baiting bulls.
We also have the Whippet which is a small version of the Greyhound. Whippets are used as a mouser and a vermin. Although whippets are considered the poor people racehorse, almost all whippets are friendly. Another breed is the Brussels Griffon which is also known as Griffon Bruxellois, Belgian Griffon or Griffon Belge.
These breeds are used as a mouser because of their small physique. If you are into hunting, you can adopt the English Springer Spaniel because they are skilled in hunting.
Next is the Alaskan Malamute that are of course found in the Arctic or cold region. The reason why they can survive on an extremely cold climate is that they have a thick and coarse coat that serves as their defense to extreme coldness. The Alaskan Malamute is those dog breeds that carry sleds that have heavy loads. The Alaskan Malamute is considered to be working dogs, and they are the oldest breed of dog in the Arctic. Some people in the Arctic make use of them as a means of transportation, they just attached a sled to the dog and it can carry heavy loads even at a long distance. Another breed is the Terrier. Fox Terrier is so smart that easily respond to a behavioral modification training.
In conclusion, although there are so many breeds of dog to choose from, we must be careful in choosing the right one for our needs.
